Prevent Blisters is managed by LOC Manufacturing. LOC Manufacturing is the sole UK distributor for ENGO® blister patches and was set up in 2005 by the London Orthotic Consultancy Ltd. It is a manufacturing company that specialises in the production of high-quality bespoke foot orthotics (insoles) and orthotic supports.
LOC Manufacturing's mission is to provide its customers with products of the highest quality. Its dedicated workforce provides an efficient and courteous service.
The directors of The London Orthotic Consultancy 'discovered' ENGO® Blister Prevention Patches a couple of years ago and were so impressed with the efficacy of ENGO® that they started to prescribe the patches to sports injury clients who suffered from blisters.
At the end of March 2008, LOC Manufacturing Ltd. entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with the manufacturers of ENGO® – Tamarack Habilitation Technologies Inc.
Tamarack's Story
Tamarack Habilitation Technologies is world-renowned in the orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) marketplace for developing the "Tamarack", a line of free motion and dorsiflexion assist ankle joints as well as ShearBan® low-friction interfaces, fabrication tools and a wide range of journal publications related to orthotic design.
Tamarack is a small "S" corporation of 16 employees, wholly owned by the Marty and Peggy Carlson family. Tamarack is focused on process rather than goals. Tamarack likes to do interesting work in a cooperative way to solve real problems many people encounter as they expand their function, or go about their preferred work and play. Tamarack likes to grow and progress, but in a way that nurtures our company of people, our extended community and our surroundings. Our collective and individual reputations are precious – to be authentically built, maintained and highly valued.
Tamarack endeavours to be a green company and a good place to work. Tamarack contributes funds, materials and employee time to help educate and assist O&P schools in many locations across the nation and around the world.
The Tamarack management team considers the physical challenges of injured/impaired people to be akin to, and part of, a continuous spectrum including the physical challenges of elite athletes. Tamarack really enjoys working out ways to enhance function for people across that entire performance spectrum with greater efficiency, comfort/safety and enjoyment.
